Baba Ramdev stopped at Jantar Mantar, demands Justice to Rape Victims

New Delhi: Yoga guru Baba Ramdev demanded justice for the Delhi gang-rape victim and condemned the police for “brutality” against protesters voicing anger against the incident.

Addressing people at Jantar Mantar here, Ramdev said: “I condemn police brutality against the peaceful youngsters.”

He demanded death sentence for the rapists and blamed the police for not providing enough security to women on roads.

The yoga guru entered the city standing atop a bus. He addressed the crowd at Jantar Mantar and tried to move towards India Gate, but was stopped by police.

“They have barricaded Jantar Mantar and we are not being allowed to move,” said an aide of the yoga guru.

Ramdev said: “Why am I being stopped, am I a rapist or terrorist. Everyone is playing politics here.”
