Connecticut (United States):  Another round of merciless shooting by a Gunman has killed  27 People including 18 Children at an Elementary School here. The whole incident took place at  Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown at around 9:30 AM local time, located some 60 Miles from New York City.
Sources say that the Gunman  has also been killed. He was a 20 year old man and was somewhat related to  Sandy Hook Elementary School, where some 600  kids regularly come for classes.
Update:
The gunman is named by US media as 24-year-old Ryan Lanza. He is reported to have also killed his mother, who worked at the school. A more eleborate account about Ryan Lanza can be found here.
A photo posted by The Newtown Bee newspaper showed a group of young students – some crying, others looking visibly frightened – being escorted by adults through a parking lot in a line, hands on each other’s shoulders.
Eye Witnesses
Marcey Benitez, a hairdresser in the town, said a child had told her they heard shots, their teacher locked the door and threw the children in the closet. The man was kicking the door, saying “let me in”, they kept quiet, then police came.
Another witness, Stephen Delgiadice tells his eight-year-old daughter, who was unhurt, heard two big bangs, and teachers told her to get in a corner. “It’s alarming, especially in Newtown, Connecticut, which we always thought was the safest place in America,” he says.
Another witness Robert Licata who said his six-year-old son was in class when the gunman burst in and shot the teacher. “That’s when my son grabbed a bunch of his friends and ran out the door,” he says. “He was very brave. He waited for his friends.”
The New Jersey State Police is investigating the case. A special SWAT team arrived on the spot at around 9:45 AM and they are searching a location in that state in connection with the shootings. The Brother of Ryan Lanza has been arrested by Police.
Other Schools in and around NewTown District have been shutdown.
This attack is the third major shooting in the US in 2012. Twelve people were killed in an attack in July at a premiere of a Batman film in Aurora, Colorado. In August six people died at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin.
