Osama’s Daughter Zaina bin Laden works for British Charity

London: Zaina bin Laden, the 56-year-old daughter-in-law of Al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, is a “keen member” of a British charity that provides care, advice and support to serving members of the armed forces, veterans and their families.

Zaina has supported the Royal British Legion charity with cash donations for at least five years, The Sun reported.

“Whoever my father-in-law was, a good cause is a good cause. Charity is a big part of my life,” she said.

Previously known as Jane Felix Browne, Zaina married Osama’s son Omar in 2007 after she met him on a trip to Egypt. The 31-year-old Omar’s mother is Osama’s first wife Najwa.

Zaina hit back at critics who say she should not be in an organisation that cares for members of the armed forces and their families.

“My family were in the British forces and I still have links. My husband believes people who fight for their countries should be respected and I believe that too. This is a cause deep in my heart and it doesn’t matter who I am married to,” she said.
