For several days the Promotion Quota Bill has troubled the functioning of Parliament. The Self Declared Messiah of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Mayawati wants it to be passed it at any cost so that she could lure back her traditional vote bank, which has scattered away from her during her 5 year old tenure in UP.
The Question is for how long would we have this quota system? Â Already 50 percents of Jobs are reserved under this system.
The promotion in any organization depends solely on the performance of employees irrespective of anycaste and creed. Then why this sudden pressure on Government to pass this bill?
The Bill has been brought up by Mayawati, who herself spent over Rs 1000 Crores of public money in constructing her statues and other memorials in the Uttar Pradesh. And now, devoid of any Developmental Issues, Mayawati has played her old Coin of Caste based Politics, to gain Political perks.
The bill is being opposed only by Samajwadi Party which feels that Other Backward Castes are alienated in the bill.
No other party has raised any objection against this. The Main Opposition BJP speaks so feebly that it becomes unclear whether it is in favor or against the bill.
Rest, Congress is too cautious not to take any step which would affect its Votebank. The situation now is that if anyone brings a bill for 90 percent reservation in Government jobs, not a single party would oppose it.
No doubt, several organization are raising their voice against it, but in India only the voice of Politicians are heard, who are too careful not to speak against it.
Over 18 lakh Uttar Pradesh government employees went on a flash strike after the bill on reservations in promotion in government jobs was tabled in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.
The strike came hours after the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government introduced the constitution amendment bill, seeking quotas in promotions for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe.
I can surely predict that very soon several politically inspired Organizations would come down on the streets if the Bill is not passed and several sponsored Intellectuals would come up with logic rubbishing any disadvantages of the bill, which would force the  Congress led UPA Government to clear its stand which undoubtedly would be in favor of the Bill.
In a country like ours, no Political party has time to speak on matters like why Afzal Guru is not hanged or Inflation (which is highest in 50 years!) Perhaps these issues wont fetch them any votes.
Thousands of Farmers have committed suicide in Western and Central India, no Bill was tabled to compensate those Farmers or to grant their loans off.
The problem is that Party Over Country and Caste over State culture is too much prevalent in India. Common people get united when the caste issues come up. He is backward and she is forward, mentality is still dwelling in the minds of mango people, an indication of Mental Slavery which is prevalent past 1000 years.
I cannot see any solution to it , except for raising voice against this Anti-National Bill

Dear,Mr. bharadwaj ji, I am so upset to read your article which was written just with immaturity and biased manner. When you feel the altrocity of the surrounding by birth you will know it. The whole reservation is only for other classes in India.You tell me how many lower caste people are employed as temple priest in India. How many CM or PM have you seen from lower caste in India.Do you feel that all the lower caste people are not competent enough.This is the socity dragging them away all the time .The government jobs provide 22% reservation to SC/ST but 78% are reserved for upper caste people only who have enjoyed the wealth,health and respect for thousand of years.
How can an intelligent person with out god father or lift can be developed.You feel in India lower caste people should stay where they are and only upper caste people with their lobbying and wealth should grow.The contribution of every citizen make better country.Why upper caste people get thundered with mere 22% reservation of govt jobs which are very less compared to private jobs. You just have a data in private jobs you will find a group of upper caste people recommend their kith and kins in their company.Is that not a fixed 100% reservation.
you just feed a boy with all nutrition , a well respect in socity and groom him like a prince ,defenitly his mind will grow sharper and he can score good marks. On the other hand you just have a boy with tag of SC or ST already deprived from socity from birth always face altrocity ,have insufficient resources,food and health imagine how his mind grow.
Its all when you walk the path you will know the pain.
I Sincerely request you my freind that lets put your hands to bring equality in socity. This is only possible when you lift the downtrodden socity to equality.You dont understand how mind set of upper caste people has not changed for several years to drag lower caste people to lower only. In govt jobs only upper caste people get promotions with lobbying as they are majority of 78%.Lower caste people are still deprived ,dragged ,harrased and posted in remote places ,not been given prime tasks even if more capable also and more than that pinch them with reservation tag to demoralise them.Have survey in all the govt jobs how many highest post are been given to SC/ST persons. Have you ever seen election commissioner , MRO , DEO, Municiple commisioner or any of the biggest post occupied by lower caste.This all happens in reality.My fried you are intelligent person and you should be proud about your self to bring positive thinking in socity rather feeling so much bad about up bring of lower caste. When lower caste people grows socity grows and country grows. Mere 22% of reservation or promotion in govt jobs does not going to harm much to upper caste people who are already in upper stage since thousands of years.
When one write any article to publish to many readers please see the route cause and depth of the subject rather talking like a lay man.We should not think much about politicians because all are same only.We should understand the real problem of the socity and make it set right to bring a healthy ,wealthy and equal socity.
We should think about bringing down the differences in socity one should not be birla and one should not remain langota. No body talk about a huge income difference between poor and rich but get anguish about a very minor change to uplift downtrodden in socity.
