World’s largest Religious Gathering  the Maha Kumbh , held once every 12 years is all set to  begin in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in another 24 Hours.
The Main Bathing Date for Maha Kumbha  2013 is February 10, which is Amavashya according to Hindu Calendars. On this Day, a dip in River Ganga is considered to be sacred and leads to Salvation. In the Last Maha Kumbha which was held in 2001, around 40 Million devotees had gathered at the holy city of Allahabad (also called Prayag).
The Festival which begins on January 14, would continue till February 25, a span of 42 English Calendar Days or 1.5 Months of Hindu Calendar.
