Bihar Govt announces Compensation for Statewide Fire Tragedy

Patna: Bihar Government has announced relief compensation for the victims of Fire Tragedy which has burnt over 5000 houses in the entire state in last two days.

The Dependents of the Dead would be provided with Rs 1.5 Lakhs rupees each. To those whose huts have been dstroyed by Fire, Government would pay Rs 2500 each for the re-construction of huts. Additionally, they would be provided Rs 4200 per house for the purchase of household items. They would also be provided with 50 Kgs of rice and 50 kgs of wheat on per family basis.

The Massive fire broke into several parts of the state due to strong winds blowing during daytime. The fire broke mainly in the slums and village areas where people live in huts and wooden houses. Over 20 people are reported to be dead during the 2 day long tragedy.

Even in the city of Patna, properties worth millions have been destroyed due to Fire.  The areas of Gardanibagh, New Patna Market, Danapur  among those where most of the damage took place.

The Rail services near Balimiki nagar had to be stalled due to the massive fire in the Tiger Reserve.  Even regular flights had to be diverted due to the rising flames of fire in the sky.
