Lucknow: Four Girls, all sisters, have been reported to be the victim of Acid Attack by unidentified men in UP. The incident took place in the Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, about 100 kilometres (60 miles) from the capital, on Tuesday evening when the sisters, three of whom are teachers, were returning home from a government school.
The victims were returning from Hindu Inter- college in Kandhal after UP board exam duty yesterday when the men attacked them, they said. Kamerjahan (26), Ayisha (25), Esha (23) and Sanam (20) were rushed to a hospital in a serious condition, they said. Later, three of of them were referred to a Delhi hospital.
The victims were walking together when two men on a motorbike made lewd remarks and the man who was riding pillion splashed acid on all of them,” Abdul Hammed, senior police officer who is investigating the case told reporters. No arrests had been made and the motive behind the crime was unclear.
