On July 20, The Amarnath yatra from Jammu resumed after being halted for two days in view of curfew imposed in many parts of Kashmir Valley after  Ramban killings.
On July 16, 20th batch of Pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra 2013 left from the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar at 4:45AM.  t had a convoy of 38 vehicles, carrying 1,211 devotees which included 881 male, 222 women and 18 children, apart from 90 sadhus
On July 14, it was reported that Indian Army has formed a special Team to avert any Uttarakhand like situation during Amarnath Yatra. Â Ten Specially Trained Rescue Teams have been formed by Rashtriya Rifles of Indian Army in anticipation to such situations.
On July 13, a convoy of 42 vehicles, carrying the 17th batch of 1,280 devotees, left the Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar at around 4.45 AM to pay obeisance at Amarnath, police said. The devotees included 934 men, 238 women and 12 children, apart from 96 priests.
On July 12, Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra reviewed the arrangements in the Ongoing Amarnath Yatra. He visited the Cave apart from several camps at Panjtarni, Domel and Baltal
Vohra, who is the chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), inspected the arrangements at the cave shrine and the enroute camps and held meetings with the concerned officials, an official spokesman said.
The Governor also inspected the functioning of the Access Control Gate at Domel, functioning of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and the arrangements at the Baltal Base Camp.
Vohra, accompanied by Chief Executive Officer, SASB, Navin Choudhary, took an extensive review of the arrangements put in place to facilitate the yatris.
