Patna: ISKCON Patna Chapter would organize a grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath in Patna on Wednesday July 10. The Rath Yatra would start at around 12:30 PM from the ISCKON Temple Patna and would traverse Frazer Road, Dakbungalow , Gandhi Maidan and Exhibition Road to reach Mahavir temple in the first phase. Subsequently, the Chariot will move to GPO roundabout, Harding Road, R-Block, Beer Chand Patel Path and Income Tax roundabout and finally reach reach ISKCON temple by 7 PM in the evening.
The Prime attraction of this Rath Yatra would be a hydraulic Chariot to be introduced first time. The Chariot originally 40ft tall can adjust its height by 16ft when needed, especially in busy areas.
Another attraction would be the presence of a team of 25 Worshippers of Lord Krishna set to circumlocate Indian in a Bullock Cart for the Sixth time.
Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra is one of the most prominent festivals of Puri Odisha, but is celebrated also in various parts of India. ‘Rath Yatra’ has derived its name from the words ‘Rath’, meaning ‘Chariot’, and ‘Yatra’, meaning ‘Procession’.
