Shravani Mela 2013 would be inaugurated today at deoghar. The Welcome Gate of Jharkhand has been constructed on the border village called Dumma.
The inauguration would take place at around 11 AM at Dumma with chanting of Vedic Mantras. Two Ministers of Jharkhand Govt Rajendra Singh and Annapurna Devi shall be present at the Inauguration Ceremony.
Deoghar district Administration is introducing  Argha System for the first time. Under this system devotees would be allotted time-slot for Puja and offering Holy Water in advance and would be provided with a Wrist Band. At the given time they can proceed to the shrine and offer Holywater using uniquely made Argha which passes on the water to the main deity kept inside the Sanctum of the Temple.
Special arrangements of security has been introduced and no external vehicles would be allowed in the main town. Over 300 cops of elite Jharkhand Jaguar have been roped in to meet any untoward circumstances.
The Administration has set up Health Camps at Dumma Navadih, Khijuria, Baba Mandir,Shivganga, Deoghar Railway Station and Jasidih Railway Station. 18 Administrative Camps, 14 Police Camps,23 Information-cum-Help Center have also been setup.
Starting from Dumma there would be Yatri Shed, Drinking Water and Toilet Facility at every 1.5km on the Route followed by Kanwanriyas.
