A Rape and Sexual Assault case has been filed against Religious Teacher Asaram Bapu in a Police Station of New Delhi, when a Minor Girl Complained that she was sexually assaulted by Asaram Bapu in his Ashram at Jodhpur Rajasthan.
The Kamla Market Police Station in Delhi has filed an FIR on the girl’s complaint under Section 356 of IPC and forwarded the case to its counterpart in Jodhpur.

“We registered the complaint, but the girl said the incident occurred in Rajasthan, so the case will be forwarded to Rajasthan,†a police officer has been quoted saying.
According to the Girl, she used to study at a Gurukul (traditional School) run by the organization linked to Asharam Bapu. During the first week of August, the Girl’s health deteriorated and her Parents were called from her hometown in Uttar Pradesh.
When her parents arrived, they were told that her condition has improved but she needed spiritual treatment under Asaram Bapu. The parents agreed and took the girl to the mentioned place by Gurukul Authorities, where Asaram Bapu asked them to leave the Girl with him for the whole night so that he may perform Puja and other rituals for her healing.
No Medical Test has yet been conducted to establish the Rape or Sexual Assault. Any statement by the Office of Asaram Bapu has not been received so far.
Asaram Bapu also received flaks when he created controversy for saying that the victim of the December 16 gang-rape case was equally responsible for the crime and suggested the girl should have addressed bus driver Ram Singh and other assailants as ‘brothers’ and begged them to stop.
