Lucknow:  A Lucknow Woman, Reshma, was victim of Acid Attack by Her Husband for giving birth to 5 Girls. He threw Acid on her Private parts and she is struggling for life at Lala Lajpat Rai (LLR) Hospital in Kanpur.
The incident occurred on July 25. Reshma was married to Mohammad Naseem of Victoria Ganj in Lucknow in 1998. The couple’s 5 consecutive issues turned out to be a Girl Child due to which she was often tortured. She was pregnant with her sixth issue of Child.
On July 25, Naseem asked Reshma to come with him for sex determination. She refused and Naseem throw a bottle of acid on her private parts. The in-laws locked her in a room for three days and gave no treatment. Even her parents were not informed.
Later her Parents came to know about it and got her admitted to LLR Kanpur on July 29. Her condition is critical and very serious due to excessive burns received and being devoid of treatment for 3 days.
An FIR has been filed against her Husband and other member of In-Laws under Section 504, 506 and 326 A in Khala Bazaar PS of Lucknow. Her Statement has been recorded.
Despite getting severe burns, Â Reshma is now determined to teach her evil Husband a lesson. “I remained quiet by seeing the faces of my little daughters but now I have decided to fight back,” she said. Notwithstanding they are receiving continuous threat of life from her Husband’s family if they did file an FIR with Police.
