Police have released the Sketch of the Suspects in the Mumbai Gang Rape Case of a Photo Journalist in the evening of August 22, on the basis of statement by Rape Victim and her Male Friend. However Police have not disclosed the names of the accused citing the seriousness of the whole issue.
Police also claims to have arrested one of the suspects this morning while the hunt for 4 others are going on. In a Press Conference, Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh said :
- Â 20 teams have been formed to investigate the case.
- Â One Accused has been arrested, while 4 others have been identified.
- Police wont reveal names of 5 accused.
- Polie is still finding out the profile of the accused, they are around 20-years-old, lived close to the mill.
- Â Woman was gangraped at 6 pm on August 22. The police was informed at 8 pm.
- One Accused arrested has confessed to the crime.
- Police  will seek maximum punishment for accused.
- Police will request govt to conduct the case via a fast-track court.
- Allegedly, the accused told the girl and her male colleague that they were on railway property and photography was not allowed.
- The Accused first approached victim and her colleague to harass them.
- Doctors say that the victim is composed and stable.
