Mumbai Police have revealed the identity Accused in the Mumbai Photojournalist Gangrape. Out of the 5, three are still at large while two of them are in Police Custody. They are Chand Abdul Sattar, Qasim Bengali,Vijay Jadhav, Saleem and Ashfaq.

Vijay Jadhav, a Dombivali resident, the accused was reportedly arrested from a video parlour in Mumbai’s Madanpura.  Vijay Jadhav was arrested by crime branch team from Nagpada brought to Unit 3 of crime branch at 3am. Vijay Jadhav is school dropout, unemployed and lives with his two elder brothers.
Chand Abdul Sattar who lives at Dhobi Ghat, close to the mill. He was on Saturday morning produced before a court which remanded him to police custody till August 30.
The five men, all school dropouts, were jobless and visited the mill often. Two even have robbery cases registered against them.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Satyapal Singh told Media that the second accused has also admitted his crime.
Yesterday Mumbai Police had released the sketches of the Rape Accused based on the Victim’s testimony.
Meanwhile, a report  quotes the victim saying that the Rapists had held a broken beer bottle over the her neck and threatened to kill her if she moved.  The victim also told the Mumbai police that the rapists clicked photographs of her after the assault and threatened to release them in public and defamed her if she dared to disclose their identities.
