Bollywood Hottie Deepika Padukone is  clearly the actress of the year 2013.  With hits like Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Chennai Express in succession, Deepika has been the most successful actress of the year. Chennai Express broke all records at Box Office and has emerged as the most successful movie of all times.
The show doesn’t end here. During the last quarter of 2013, two of her most awaited movies are getting released, Kochadaiyaan and Ramleela.
While Ramleela is a love drama directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the highly acclaimed  ‘Kochadaiyaan’ stars superstar Rajnikanth in the lead role. It would also be  India’s first motion capture 3D film and is expected to be one of the biggest releases  of 2013.
A popular journalist had once described Deepika Padukone as “strong, someone who makes up her own mind, has motivation within herself”, and one couldn’t agree more. In her first movie ‘Om Shanti Om’ she bagged the ‘Best Female Debut’ in Fimfare awards, announcing her entry into Bollywood with élan.
Coming from a non-filmi background, Deepika, with her superhit movies, has been consistently receiving positive reviews from critics. From the girl-next-door in ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ to a suave seductress in ‘Race 2’, a successful actress in ‘Om Shanti Om’, to a damsel in distress in ‘Cocktail’, Deepika has had her platter full of flavours. Inspite of all her roles demanding such distinct personality portrayal, the leggy lass has been absolutely at ease with such challenges. Leaving a string of blockbusters in her trail, Deepika has successfully earned a diversely coloured profile.
Deepika was raised in a family where sports were the talk on the table, but who knew this national level badminton player’s true calling was the glamorous world of Bollywood.
