Patna: Six Students of IIT Patna have been offered job with salary package worth Rs 18 Lakhs by leading e-commerce company Amazon, according to newspaper reports.
This is the highest on-campus recruitment offer in any college of Bihar.  Amazon also  offered Paid Internship to five 3rd year students and PPO to one.
Other Companies which have recruited students from IIT Patna this year. include Flipkart, Google and Microsoft. Last year Microsoft recruited few students with CTC of Rs 16 Lakhs. Flipkart offered three students a package of Rs 12.5 Lakhs each.
The Institute which opened in 2008 has produced a good track of Placement. The Average Package offered by Companies during On-Campus Recruitment at IIT Patna was Rs 7.08 Lakhs last year.
The Institute presently functions from a makeshift campus near Patliputra Colony Patna, while a permanent campus is coming up at Bihta, 40km from Patna.
