CM Nitish Kumar has reiterated that Bihar Government is committed to the development of all places associated with Bihar. He was inauguration the 44th Annual Festival of Vishwa Shanti Stupa (World Peace Pagoda) at Rajgir in Nalanda district of Bihar.
The CM also announced construction of a second ropeway on the Ratnagiri Hill. Already a ropeway is functioning at Rajgir, which happens to be the sole working ropeway in Bihar.
Kumar further said that he too felt inner peace while at Vishwa Shanti Stupa and probably this was the reason this Stupa attracts lakhs of visitors from all corners of the world.
He also necessitated the need to spread Lord Buddha’s message of peace and nonviolence to masses, which was the only solution to their problems.
CM also praised JApan for its contribution to the Nalanda International University. Nalanda University would become the apostle of Peace in the world, he said.
Nitish Kumar also announced that an International Buddhisht Conference would be soon organized at Patna.
