A series of five bomb blasts occurred at Patna junction and Gandhi maidan areas of Patna today ahead of Hunkaar Rally of BJP where Narendra Modi would address.
40 people have been injured so far, and 5 casualties have been reported. Police have arrested one person so far in this connection.
The Hunkaar Rally would continue despite bomb blasts, says BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
In the morning, a crude bomb exploded at a platform in Patna railway station today, leaving one person injured.
“The explosion occurred at an isolated place on platform number 10. It was a crude bomb and one person has been injured,” SSP Manu Maharaj told reporters here. The incident came just hours before BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was to address a rally in the Bihar capital, for which BJP had made extensive arrangements to bring the people to the city.
