Bangalore: Police have made a key success in the investigation of the ATM Attack Case in which a 44 year old woman was robbed and stabbed with a machete. The Police have identified and detained the man to whom the accused had  sold the Mobile Phone stolen from the Victim.

The Police traced the Mobile Phone and nabbed this person from Andhra Pradesh, while the main accused is still at large.
A case under section 397 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been lodged against Unknown Assailant, Â which deals with attempting to cause death or grievous injury while committing robbery or dacoity.
The Victim identified as Jyothi Uday, has underwent multiple surgeries and is presently under observation.  She has been admitted to BGS Hospital in Bangalore.
“The patient underwent a major neurosurgical operation. The bone fragments inside the brain were removed. The brain coverings were repaired, and the fractured skull bones were reset,” said Dr NK Venkataramana, who is treating the Victim.
“Plastic surgeons have reconstructed the nose and treated her facial injuries. The patient is conscious and speaking. Her right side is paralyzed. She’s being closely monitored, and given blood transfusion,” he added.
The Incident which took place on Tuesday was recorded in the CCTV Camera installed at the ATM and a portion of Recorded Video can be viewed on Youtube.
In an Aftermath, the Karnataka government has set a three-day deadline for banks to deploy security guards at their unmanned ATMs, otherwise all such ATMs would be shutdown.
