Dubai: A 5 day International Kathakali festival titled Utsavam 2013 began today in Dubai (UAE). It has been organized by Indian Consulate in association with  International Koodiyattam and Kathakali Festival team (IKKF).
The venue for the Festival is  HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein Theatre, GEMS Wellington International School.
IKKF aims at promoting traditional art forms of Kerala like Koodiyattam, Kathakali, Keli, Melappadam, Koothu and Thayampaka in the UAE
