Miss Venezuela Maria Gabriela Isler crowned Miss Universe 2013

Miss Venezuela Maria Gabriela Isler has been declared as the Winner of Miss Universe 2013 BEauty Pageant held at Moscow Russia. Outgoing Miss Universe Olivia Culpo crowned María Gabriela Isler at a function held at Crocus City Hall in Moscow today.

This was the 62nd edition of Miss Universe Beauty Pageant which saw  participants from 86 Countries. The other positions held by contestants were:

1st Runner Up: Miss Spain – Patricia Rodríguez
2nd Runner Up: Miss Ecuador – Constanza Báez
3rd Runner Up: Miss Philippines – Ariella Arida
4th Runner Up: Miss Brazil – Jakelyne Oliveira

During Evening Gown Competition, Miss Venezuela chose an on-trend white gown with sleeves which she  had co-designed.

Candidates who made into Top 16  were from Countries, 1) Costa Rica, 2) Ukraine, 3) China, 4) Ecuador, 5) Great Britain, 6) Indonesia, 7) Venezuela, 8) Dominican Republic 9) Puerto Rico, 10) Spain, 11) USA, 12) Nicaragua 13) Switzerland 14) India 15) Brazil, 16) Philippines. Miss Philippines won the 16th semifinals spot via online voting.

Earlier the Best National Costume Award was presented to Miss Nicaragua – Nastassja Bolívar.

This year the number of contestants was 86 in contrast to 89 last year. The panel of judges at this year’s pageant includes the likes of Chef Nobu, Steven Tyler, Tara Lipinski, Carol Alt, Anne V, Farouk Shami, Italo Fontana and Philip Kirkorov.

To Add more Spice to the Pageant, Outgoing Miss Universe Olivia Culpo was strutted down in a million-dollar “emerald, ruby and diamond” swimming costume.

María Gabriela Isler was born on April 21, 1988 in the city of Valencia. She holds a BA in Management and Marketing. Earlier she was crowned Miss Guárico 2012 and Miss Venezuela 2012. She is 1.81 m (5 ft 11 1⁄2 in) in Height with Bust: 90 cm (35.4 in), Waist: 60 cm (23.6 in) and Hips: 90 cm (35.4 in). She is the seventh Miss Universe Titleholder from Venezuela.
