Mumbai: Bahrain Consul General in Mumbai, Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Khaja has been booked for Molestation of a Woman. Since he is a diplomat, no arrest has been made in the case.
The 49 year old Victim Woman was the Manager of  Silver Arch building  in the  Nepean Sea Road Housing Society, where the Consul General lives.
The incident occurred on December 9  when one of the Lifts in the Building was shut down for repairs.  As per reports, Khaja  told the security guard that he wanted to speak with the society manager. When she went to meet Khaja, the diplomat lost his temper and started screaming at the security guards and started kicking the lift door. When the Victim, who was the Housing Society Manager,  tried to intervene, Khaja pushed her away and started using abusive words. Later he went inside her office and ransacked it.
The Victim along with other Residents of the Housing Society approached the Police. When the Policemen came for inquiry, Khaja abused them also pushed them away.  A Case was registered against him on December 13 at Malabar Hill Police Station.
As per reports Khaja has been booked under sections 354 (molestation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of  peace) of the Indian Penal Code.
Residents of the Society allege that Khaja, who had been living in the Housing Society for last 5 years, had created similar troubles in past. However, they did not inform police, but had informed the Bahrain Embassy. On December 20, he again created similar ruckus, as per reports.
Born  in Bahrain in 1959, Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Khaja completed his education from University of Pune. He has held several positions in the Bahrain’s consulates in India, China, Pakistan, Iran apart from holding key position in the Government of Bahrain.
