Patna getting drenched in Colors of Christmas Carnival

Patna: With less than a week remaining for Christmas this year, Patnites are already in festive mood. Several programme, events and functions are being organized in schools and colleges to make this Christmas Carnival, a memorable one.

The latest being Christmas Carol Competition at Ravi Bharati Institute of Communication, where about 30 choir groups drawn from different Schools in the city like, St. Michael’s, St. Joseph’s, Notre Dame, Carmel, Don Bosco, School of Nursing of Kurji Hospital, and others groups lit the campus with Christmas color, light and melodies, on 19th December 2013.

A hot cup of tea, a misty ambience and Carols sung by children on the stage like, ‘Silent night, Holy night…Christ the Savior is Born!’ were perfectly sprinkling the Mid-night feel all around. The two-hour compact program added further to the expectations of the coming Christmas celebrations, the cool, crisp and a joyful day of merrymaking for children, with cards, cakes, Santa and candies.

The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Devassia, the Vicar General of Patna Archdiocese, blessed the occasion and wished all the participants a very Merry Christmas.

On behalf of Ravi Bharati, the Director Fr. Benny Moolan, SJ extended his gratitude to the authorities of all the participating Schools and other institutions for their interest in this annual event. The Administrator, Fr. Prem Lal, SJ gave the vote of thanks.  Mr. Frank Krishner moderated the event and made it a fun-filled evening for all who were present.  The winners were awarded with trophies and certificates.Â
