New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to garner the maximum vote share in the Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh if the Lok Sabha elections are held now, according to the CNN-IBN election tracker conducted by CSDS.
In Gujarat, BJP is projected to secure a 53 percent vote share, the Congress 32 percent and the Aam Aadmi Party seven percent.
In Maharashtra, the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is likely to grab 44 percent vote share while the saffron party’s vote share in Madhya Pradesh is likely to be 51 percent.
The Congress in MP may have to make do with 29 percent votes.
In Chhattisgarh, 50 percent vote share is likely to go to the BJP, the poll prediction said and added the Congress may have to be content with 34 percent.
While 71 percent respondents said they are satisfied with the performance of the Gujarat government, 70 percent said they are happy with Narendra Modi as the Gujarat chief minister.
Modi led the approval ratings as preferred prime minister with 46 percent in Gujarat backing him for the top job. Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi comes a distant second with only 16 percent in Gujarat rooting for him.
