New Delhi: India’s exports rose by 5.26 percent to $25.63 billion in April this year from $24.35 billion recorded in the same month last year, government data showed Friday.
Imports during the month under review dropped by 15 percent to $35.72 billion as compared to $42.02 billion in April 2013, according to data released by the ministry of commerce and industry here.
The trade deficit for April 2014 eased to $10.08 billion, sharply lower from $17.67 billion posted in April 2013.
