Guwahati: The normal life in Karbi Anglong Area of Assam came to a grinding halt since Saturday following a call for 96 hour Karbi Anglong bandh by KPLT.
Vehicles are off from the streets, schools and colleges, shops and markets in most of the areas in the hills district are remaining closed under the impact of the KPLT-sponsored bandh in protest against the recent encounter, reports Assam Times.
Security forces shot dead the outfit’s commander in chief along with 6 others at the Singhason hills.
