Four Aam Aadmi Party MPs including Dharamvir Gandhi, Harinder Singh Khalsa, Prof Sadhu Singh and Bhagwant Mann urged Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung to take urgent steps to improve the power situation in the national capital region.

Seeking stringent action against power companies responsible for maintenance of the distribution network, the MPs demanded the pattern in which distribution of electricity takes place from the central grip be made public.

In a letter to Goyal, MPs raised pertinent points including how it is a surprising element that VIPs living in Lutyens get uninterrupted power supply at cheap rates while ‘aam aadmi’ are bearing the brunt of long power cuts. The MPs also visited Najeeb Jung and put their demands to the Lt.Governor.
