BJP patriarch LK Advani today met party leader Yashwant Sinha in the Hazaribagh jail in Jharkhand.
Yashwant Sinha has spent 15 days in the Hazaribagh jail and is expected to stay in jail for another 11 days. The constituency has elected him to power and now in this election it is his son who has emerged victorious here. Highly placed sources reveal that no central BJP leader has paid him a visit.
He recently injured himself on June 13, when he fell after the chair on which he was sitting broke. Sinha was arrested on June 2 for leading a protest against long power cuts.
Allegedly the group of BJP workers he was with tied up a senior electricity board official. Sinha and 50 others were detained. Yashwant Sinha had refused to furnish a bail bond. LK Advani today met Yashwant Sinha. He said he had given his advice to the BJP leader and former union minister.
The case will next be heard on June 28. In court, Sinha has admitted that it was on his orders that the official was tied up. LK Advani said the version that was published in newspapers was different from what reality was.
LK Advani said the movement for electricity must go ahead.
