Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has sacked a junior minister and changed the portfolios of 11 ministers including 9 of cabinet rank in a major reshuffle of his council of ministers.

Yadav removed minister of state for entertainment tax Pawan Pandey. Portfolios of nine cabinet ministers and two ministers of state have also been changed.

The shuffle in the cabinet clearly reflects the displeasure of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. Mulayam had expressed his displeasure over Lok Sabha elections failure of certain ministers two days ago.
