A violent clash erupted between police and villagers after an incident of alleged rape has come to light at Shahpur village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The conflict occurred when a protest led by villagers took an ugly turn and they scuffled with the police. They were agitating against the police inaction over the incident.
