“A day after President Pranab Mukherjee addressed the joint sitting of both Houses of Parliament where he disclosed that the government will encourage private investments in defence production and would liberalise FDI in defence production, many political parties including CPI(M) opposed the step of increasing the cap of FDI in defence production. NNIS got up and close with CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat to have his party’s view on it.
