Two tragic train incidents in a day had the Union Railway Minister Sadanand Gowda in a quandary. Perturbed by two back to back derailments in Bihar where the Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express derailed near Chhapra killing four and injuring eight others, Gowda announced ex-gratia compensation for the victims. In a separate incident another goods train derailed close to Motihari in Bihar. While relief operations have commenced, Gowda spoke to the media entourage and talked about visiting the accident spot.
