Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said that the Union Government will formally write to Switzerland government seeking details of Indians having accounts in Swiss banks.

Speaking on the matter Jaitley, however, made it clear that the Indian government has till now not sent any letter on the issue to Swiss authorities. He added India will seek ‘expeditious’ sharing of banking details from Swiss authorities. The Union Minister said, a list of citizens, who are suspected to have stashed away untaxed wealth in Swiss banks will come out soon.
