In an exclusive interview with NNIS, Project Director of Kripa Foundation Debjani Guha shared with us her opinion about the possibility of Indian government imposing a ban on foreign funding for NGOs.
Guha said that if the government imposes such a ban on all the NGOs then it would be totally uncalled for. She added that till the time the NGOs maintain a clean record of the funding they receive from abroad, they should not be targeted.
Guha opined that the government should not cut the foreign fund flow for NGOs which maintain complete transparency over the usage of the funds.
Guha feels that as long as the NGOs are true to their mission and are mature about dealing with the problems coming their way, they will continue to thrive.
