Within days after taking over as the Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh will visit the Delhi Police Headquarters today. Singh will take stock of the law and order situation, look into the increasing cases of crime against women in the Capital. The maiden visit of the Home Minister also assumes significance in the wake of the Intelligence inputs pertaining to terror strikes in Delhi and surrounding areas.
During the visit, the minister will meet senior Delhi Police officials and hold discussions about the capital’s law and order situation.
All Special Commissioners, Joint Commissioners, Additional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners have been directed to be present in the meeting which will commence at 12 noon today.
All police heads of the eleven districts in the Capital have been asked to prepare a detailed report of the crime rate, crime scenario and initiatives taken by them in their area.
