Home Minister To Sit Next To Pm In Lok Sabha

Home Minister Rajnath Singh could be the Union Minister who will get a chance to sit next to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a seat which is left vacant conspicuously. Parliament meets for the budget session on 7th July. The new arrangement does denote the new pecking order. The seat next to Modi was occupied by BJP veteran LK Advani on the day the 16th Lok Sabha met on 4th June.

HOME MINISTER TO SIT NEXT TO PM IN LOK SABHA

It seems that the seat allocation even inside Parliament is done keeping in view the hierarchy. The present seat allocation seems in keeping with the home portfolio being seen as next in seniority to the PM, though there isn’t any hard and fast rule attached to it.

The front row in the second segment of seats on the treasury side could go to former BJP President and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari. Parliamentary Affairs Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu is expected to occupy a seat just behind the PM in the second row. The rest of the seating arrangements are likely to be finalised as we come closer to the budget session where the Lok Sabha secretariat could work out claims on the basis of the strength of parties and seniority of leaders.
