India has formally entered the fray to host the 2019 Asian Games. Rajeev Mehta, the secretary general of the IOA, wrote a letter to the Olympic Council of Asia president Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah saying that the IOA was interested in hosting the meet and with that all speculation comes to an end.
