In what could be sheer embarrassment to PM Modi, Nihalchand Meghwal, the only MP from Rajasthan who was inducted in the cabinet as the Union Minister of State (MoS) in the Ministry of of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has been issued a notice by the Jaipur district court in connection with a rape case dating back to 2011. Reports say, three years ago a woman had filed an FIR against her husband and his associates of sexually exploiting her. The woman had alleged that her husband drugged her after which she was raped by his associates including Nihalchand. The case was closed in 2012 as charges were not proved Later the woman appealed in the district court. On Thursday, the court issued notices to now minister Nihalchand and 17 others in the case and have asked them to respond by August 20, this year.
