Former Bihar chief minister, Nitish Kumar speaking at a press conference in Patna today said that he was appealing to RJD, Congress and CPI to extend their support to the JD(U) nominees.

Nitish Kumar said that BJP is conspiring to topple the Jitan Ram Manjhi government. He said instead of working for the people the BJP was indulging in clever tactics against the JD(U).

He said they were asking for support for the Rajya Sabha polls because the RJD had earlier supported the Jitan Ram Manjhi government as well.
