A young couple in Coimbatore were delighted when their son was born on 5 March but their joy turned into sorrow in just four days after the baby lost his eyesight due to medical negligence by a private hospital where the baby was born. The nurses allegedly did not fix the IV properly because of which the blood of the baby got infected leading infection in the new-born’s eyes and loss of eyesight.
