Mumbai: Actress Preity Zinta has filed a police complaint alleging that  her former boyfriend and businessman Ness Wadia  molested, abused and threatened her inside Wankhede stadium in Mumbai on May 30 during an IPL match.
Preity and Ness are Business partners and co-own Kings XI Punjab IPL team. The same day, there was the Semi-final match of IPL between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede, which Kings XI Punjab won by 24 runs. However they lost the finals to Kolkata Knight Riders next day.
The incident reportedly occurred  in Garware Pavilion of Wankhede Stadium.
39-year-old Preity filed the police complaint on Thursday night, though it is not clear why she delayed filing of the police complaint.
According to the complaint, Ness Wadia came up to her, grabbed her by hand and started using abusive words in front of other spectators.
Zinta gave a written complaint following which an FIR was registered against Wadia under IPC sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), police sources added.
Preity and Ness had broken their five-year long relationship in 2009.  Now Police may call Ness Wadia to record his statement and chances of his arrest cannot be nullified.
