Union Minister of Defence and Finance, Arun Jaitley today speaking to the media said that the reduced excise duty for automobiles, capital goods and consumer durables was to be extended for the next six months.
Arun Jaitley said that in February excise duties with regard to several categories of automobile vehicles were reduced for a small period. He said on similar lines duty concerns were granted on capital goods and consumer durables. He said in five days the duty structures will end.
He said the duties for these sections will be extended till a period of further six months.
