Scorching Heat Across India Becomes Boon For Kashmir Tourism (Nnis Exclusive)

At the time when the heat wave in the country has crippled the daily life of the common man, such condition is turning out to be a boon for Jammu and Kashmir tourism sector as inflow of tourists to the picturesque Valley has witnessed 12 per cent increase in comparison to previous year. SCORCHING HEAT ACROSS INDIA BECOMES BOON FOR KASHMIR TOURISM (NNIS EXCLUSIVE)

Tourists, especially from northern states of Delhi, UP, Punjab and Haryana, were spotted enjoying the soothing weather in Kashmir escaping the scorching heat. The temperature in Srinagar is hovering around 25 to 27 degree Celsius and according to hoteliers the hotel occupancy in Srinagar at present is about 60-75 per cent. Tourists are relishing the shikara ride in the famous and beautiful Dal Lake

According to Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC), the tour packages offered by them have evoked tremendous response and the department believes that the inflow this year has been encouraging

 

NNIS spoke to some of the tourists who have visited this heaven on earth, Kashmir  from various parts of the country
