Cutting across party lines, Uttar Pradesh leaders have slammed the BJP for opposing the Governor’s move to meet the public regularly in a janta durbar.
SP, BSP and Congress leaders maintain that the Governor is well within his constitutional right to meet the public. The BJP has requested the governor to re-consider his decision.
The newly-appointed Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Aziz Qureshi, has decide to meet the general public regularly, a move which has been questioned by BJP.
“Dr Qureshi will be available for general public at Raj Bhawan between 11 am to 1 pm daily (excluding holidays),” said an official release here on Tuesday.
