Delivering Khwaja Ahmad Abbas Centenary Lecture on “Literature, Art and Social Awareness” in New Delhi, Vice-President Hamid Ansari today said that it was argued on behalf of Abbas in the Supreme Court that pre-censorship of films was offensive to freedom of speech and expression and that the rules relating to it were vague, arbitrary and indefinite.
