The controversy surrounding the appointment of General Dalbir Singh Suhag as Army Chief refuses to die down. Responding to defence ministry’s affidavit in the Supreme Court which termed as “illegal” his decision to put a ban on promotion of Army Chief designate Dalbir Singh Suhag, General VK Singh defended his action and stressed that there is nothing new in the affidavit.
