The CEO of a jute mill was beaten to death at Bhadreswar in West Bengal’s Hoogly district. He was allegedly beaten by the workers in the factory premises when he refused to agree to their demands for a wage hike.
The CEO of a jute mill S.K. Maheshwari was beaten to death by the workers today morning. According to sources, the workers pelted stones and have beaten Maheshwari with iron rods. The refusal of the CEO to meet the workers’ demands led to a fight. Maheshwari was taken to hospital where he was declared dead. Factory’s General manager and Chief security officer was also injured in the incident. No arrests have yet been made in the case.
