Popular playback singer Kailash Kher in a candid chat revealed that he came to Mumbai with the dreams of singing in music albums and never really aspired to be a playback singer in Bollywood.

Kher said that he was not an avid film viewer and was not well acquainted with film songs. The music composer said that initially people had rejected his voice and said that he could never become a playback singer.

Kher said that when his music albums became popular, he started getting offers for film songs and never realized when he made the transition from singing music albums to playback singing.

When asked how he manages to multitask in his career, Kailash said that when you start out with the right intention then everything falls into place on its own.
