Trinamool Congress MP, Tapas Pal has been booked for his comment on raping CPM women. He today tendered an unconditional apology and has given an explanation to his party.
TAPAS PAL APOLOGIZES OVER INSENSITIVE COMMENT
TMC had asked Tapas Pal to apologize after they were left red faced by his utterances in a video which surfaced on various TV channels. He had in footage threatened to rape and kill women belonging to CPI(M). The comment has faced major flak.

Pal, also a Bengali film actor, said in making such comments he had let down his constituents and the people of Bengal.

“Some remarks made by me in the heat and dust of the election campaign have caused dismay and consternation. I apologise unreservedly for them,” Pal said in a written apology to the Trinamool Congress and the media.
