In coming three years, Government is planning to start 222 polytechnics under the scheme Sub-Mission on Polytechnics
Due to this, there will be additional enrollment of 1,19,880 students in polytechnic system of the country. Some of the states in which the polytechnics are to be opened are: Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Assam, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Nagaland.
This information was given by the Union Minister of HRD Smriti Irani in a written reply to the Lok Sabha today.
